NUI Grant Scheme for Early Career Academics

NUI is delighted to offer the NUI Grant Scheme for Early Career Academics in 2023. This Scheme offers Grants to scholars based in NUI member institutions, to support the organisation of an international conference or symposium. The Grants will range from €2,000 to €5,000.

The National University of Ireland Grant Scheme for Early Career Academics is an opportunity for early-stage scholars to receive support in organising international conferences or symposia, with the option to host events at the NUI building in Merrion Square, Dublin. Candidates do not need to hold an NUI degree to be eligible to apply, but must have a current affiliation with a member institution of the NUI federation. More information and application form here.

The application process requires the submission of documents including an application form, grant proposal, abstract of proposal, letter of support, certified academic transcripts, and a CV. The proposal should outline the event's title, type, duration, content, speakers, expected attendees, timeline, location, and budget details, among other information.

All applications and associated documentation must be submitted via email to awards@nui.ie by December 1, 2023. Electronic documents should be saved as separate files and compressed into a zip file (max. size 20 MB).
